Tee it up
Fear of failure
Club meets ball
Crack! it goes
Ball flies effortlessly
Lost in woods
Kerplunk! in water
Sand flies everywhere
Finally on green
Plink! in cup
A joyous celebration
Count your strokes
Or maybe not…

This was wonderful! I hope it’s okay if I add this to my poetry unit in a few weeks…my kids love to write things like this! And yours was so much fun, too! 🙂

I hope your kids enjoy the exercise as much as mine do:) The struggling writers particularly enjoy it because it is so “doable.”

Love this idea and the way you ended up with this poem. I felt like I was the ball when reading this. I don’t even count my strokes when playing mini-golf!

I also love this idea. This word require just the right three words and would allow all of my writers a perfect entry point. Thank you.
