There’s no electricity, thanks to the wind.
The cable is out, the internet, too.
And it’s time for report cards, that painful chore
What more could go wrong? I’m feeling blue.
But wait! In my duldrums I suddenly remember,
My grandson is soon coming to visit with me!
I set up the crib, put the stroller together
The world will be fine when I hold my baby!
I love this poem! The first verse sounds like the WORST things ever but then what a pick-me-up in the second. My little one definitely gets me through the tough days (that is, when she’s not causing them…) Have a wonderful visit with your grandson.
